A little word play based on the old M35 series 2.5 ton trucks that we used to get a ride on at Fort Bragg. Two tins (DEUCE) and half (1/2) the size of our .5 oz. ACCESSORY KIT just seemed the perfect name to us for our DEUCE & 1/2 TINS. These compact tins help to keep your FIELD KITS nice and tidy with their endless possibility of practical uses.
We use ours to hold smelling salts and a benzoin tincture ampule in our day pack FIRST-AID KIT. They are perfect for large hooks and sinkers in our SURVIVAL KIT. Tic-Tac's in one tin and Chiclets in the other tin is always a safe bet in our ACCESSORY PACKET.
Our DEUCE & 1/2 TINS each have a .25 oz capacity, making them small enough to fit three (3) DEUCE & 1/2 TINS into our FIELD KIT TINS with extra room to add other essential gear. Arranging them along with our ACCESSORY KIT can give you some really nice compartmental ideas for your FIELD KITS.
